About Capitals Golf Club
Capitals Golf Club is the convenient option in any Lithuania buddy trip. It sits about 20 minutes from Vilnius airport (VNO), which makes it the obvious first or last round when flight timing matters. The 18-hole layout is well-conditioned, forgiving without being trivial, and ideal for the mixed-ability groups that make up most buddy trips.
It’s not the most demanding course in Lithuania, that’s The V Golf Club at Vilnius Grand Resort, but it does a different job. When you’ve got a group with handicaps spread across 12–25, Capitals is where everyone has a good time without the longer hitters being held up.
Getting there
- From Vilnius airport (VNO): about 20 minutes by car
- From Vilnius city centre: about 30 minutes
- From other courses: 25–40 minutes from The V Golf Club
For groups I organise, all transfers are included in the trip price.
What to expect
- Layout: 18-hole parkland championship course
- Difficulty: Mid-range, the friendliest of Lithuania’s championship courses
- Conditioning: Good throughout the May-September season
- Clubhouse: Restaurant, pro shop, comfortable post-round set-up
How it fits into a Lithuania trip
Capitals is almost always one of the three courses on a Vilnius-based trip. The typical pattern is: The V Golf Club as the main round, Capitals as the arrival or departure round (because of the airport proximity), and European Centre as the third.
