A Lithuania golf trip from Poland, in one paragraph

Warsaw to Vilnius is one hour in the air. Lithuania has five championship courses you almost certainly haven’t played. Total trip costs land well under a Polish multi-day trip, never mind a flight to Spain or Portugal. And Vilnius Old Town has the kind of food and beer evenings that work for Polish buddy groups in particular. I run these trips personally and most Polish bookings come from groups who’d been doing Mazury or Lower Silesia for years and wanted somewhere new.

Why Polish buddy groups make this trip

The Polish golf market knows its home courses well. After a few years of the same Mazury or Lower Silesia rotation, “somewhere we haven’t played” becomes a real selling point. Lithuania scratches that itch without committing to a long-haul trip.

The other factors that recur in Polish group brief notes:

  • Cost: green fees of €60–€80 are a fraction of Western European equivalents; total trip cost is genuinely cheaper than an extended Polish trip
  • Evenings: Vilnius Old Town is well-suited to the way Polish buddy groups eat and drink: long dinners, craft beer, and a city that’s awake past 10pm
  • Logistics: one-hour direct flight, simple visa-free travel (EU), prices in euro, no language barrier issues at the courses

What the trip looks like

Most Polish groups settle on one of two formats:

3-night weekend (Thursday–Sunday): two rounds, Vilnius Old Town hotel, one organised evening. Around €600–€900 per person not including flights. The standard starting trip.

4–5 night extended: three rounds, optional coastal extension to play National Golf Resort near Klaipėda, two nights in Vilnius + two on the coast. Around €900–€1,400 per person. The trip groups go for on the second visit.

See Lithuania Golf Weekend for the weekend version’s detailed itinerary.

What’s included

For every trip I personally arrange:

  • Hotel: 4-star Vilnius Old Town options, or course-attached resorts if you prefer
  • Tee times across two or three courses depending on length
  • Private transfers: airport ↔ hotel ↔ courses, no rental cars to manage
  • One organised evening: craft beer tour, basketball game (we are an unreasonably passionate basketball country, as are you), or a chef-led dinner
  • Direct WhatsApp line to me for the whole trip

You handle your own flights. Everything in Lithuania is mine to handle.

How to plan it

Common questions

Frequently asked about this trip.

How long is the flight from Poland to Lithuania?
Warsaw to Vilnius is about 1 hour direct. Gdańsk and Kraków connect via Warsaw or with seasonal direct flights. From Poznań or Wrocław you'll usually route via Warsaw. Most groups end up choosing Warsaw as the departure point because of frequency.
Why pick Lithuania over playing in Poland?
Three reasons most Polish groups give: courses you haven't played a dozen times already, total package prices that come in well below a multi-day Polish trip, and post-golf evenings in Vilnius Old Town that feel different from a weekend in Mazury. Plus the rouble economics make it the cheapest 'abroad' golf trip from Poland.
What does a Lithuania golf trip from Poland typically cost?
Budget €600–€900 per person for 3 nights with two rounds, or €900–€1,400 for 4–5 nights with three rounds and a Klaipėda coastal extension. Flights from Warsaw are typically €100–€200 return depending on timing. Far cheaper than the equivalent trip to Spain or Portugal.
Is the golf scene developed enough in Lithuania for a real trip?
Yes, five 18-hole championship courses across Vilnius, Klaipėda, and Druskininkai, all well-conditioned and uncrowded. A typical 3-night trip plays two of them; a longer trip plays three. The country is small but the golf side is real.
Do you speak Polish?
Not personally, but several of the courses do and most hotel staff in Vilnius speak passable Polish. Everything I send you (quotes, itinerary, on-the-ground briefings) is in English. If your group prefers fully Polish-language correspondence, let me know on the brief and I'll flag it.
